Wetland delineations are completed to evaluate jurisdictional waters of the United States. Our engineers complete these wetland assessments based in part on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual to provide a boundary for any necessary impacts to the proposed area of development. Removal and/or adjustments to wetland areas can require permits from federal, state, and local agencies. A multitude of benefits arise from the development of wetlands including fish and wildlife habitats, protection of people by improving water quality, storing floodwaters, recreation, aesthetics, and erosion control.
